In 2024, fewer of us showed up to vote in Ohio. Though it’s the largest county by population in Ohio, Franklin County’s presidential election turnout dropped to 67.4% in 2024, down from roughly 72% in 2020. Cuyahoga County (Cleveland) dropped, too. Across the state, turnout fell, and our community felt it in the legislation that followed.
We don’t want to let that happen again.
Ohio’s 2026 General Election is coming, and the plan starts now. The research on what actually gets people to the polls is clear: the people who vote aren’t just the ones who care, they’re the ones who made a plan to vote. So let’s make one together:
Three dates to write down:
- October 5: Deadline to register or update your registration.
- October 6: Early in-person and absentee voting begins.
- November 3: Election Day in Ohio! Polls open 6:30am – 7:30pm.
Check your registration and know before you vote!

Take five minutes now to confirm you’re registered or get registered to vote; verify your address is current; and know where your local polling places are located! Following the links below for more information!
