Jeremy Blake

Jeremy Blake serves as Senior Strategy Advisor & Director of Public Affairs to Franklin County Coroner Nathaniel Overmire, D.O.

In his position, Jeremy handles the external affairs of the coroner’s office, including relationships with reporters, community engagements, government relations, and public health advocacy efforts. He elevates the office’s mission and strategic goals with community stakeholders, leaders, and residents. Jeremy joined Coroner Overmire’s office because of his commitment to being a positive change-maker.

Jeremy is a political professional with experience in nonprofits, government, and political campaigns. He was a legislative staff member at the Ohio Statehouse, provided leadership as an elected school board president, and was later elected to serve two terms on a city council. He has worked on various nonprofit boards and committees which serve the healthcare needs of those who experience mental health and/or addiction-related conditions.

Previously, Jeremy served as Government Relations Director for the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. Jeremy has a bachelor’s degree from Denison University. He enjoys being active with the Kiwanis, attending community festivals, being at Columbus Blue Jackets games, exploring public parks, singing in the Harmony Project community chorus, and traveling with friends.
