Welcome to the Notes for #TransJoy campaign webpage!

Elevate TransJoy

Join us in celebrating and supporting Transgender and Nonbinary Ohioans by submitting your note of support, love, and affirmation.

Inspired by the incredible work of our friends at Transgender Law Center (TLC) and their project #LoveLettersToTransPeople, the Notes for #TransJoy campaign has become Equality Ohio’s longest-running and most engaged initiative.

The campaign began in 2022 to offer our community a resource for accessing affirmation whenever needed. We also do live installations of the campaign at events—find us or invite us to your next community hoorah! We are thrilled to continue spreading joy and positivity throughout our community.

At Equality Ohio, we believe our liberation lies in our support and love for one another. We continue Notes for #TransJoy today because we understand the transformative power of love. Our movement work is a love letter to our people, and by honoring each other now, we extend love to future generations.

Together with TransOhio, we carry this inspiring momentum forward in Ohio through Notes for #TransJoy.

Here’s how you can participate:

      1. Submit your note: Share your support, love, and affirmation message for Transgender and Nonbinary Ohioans. Your words have the power to uplift and inspire. Your note can make a difference.

      2. View and share: Explore our regularly updated page to read the heartfelt notes from others. Witness the outpouring of love and support for our Transgender and Non-binary community. Help us elevate these messages by sharing them with your friends, family, and social networks—don’t forget to use the hashtag #TransJoy.

Notes for #TransJoy is a collaborative effort by Equality Ohio and TransOhio. We aim to create a safe and inclusive space where our community can find solace, acceptance, and empowerment.

Join us in spreading love and joy to Transgender and Nonbinary Ohioans. Let’s make their voices heard and their experiences celebrated. Together, we create a more compassionate and understanding society.
